To transfer your business tasks to the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous secondary site, follow
the procedure shown next. Business Continuity Manager is used in this procedure:
1.
When the Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair is in Duplex status, use Business Continuity
Manager to execute the YKSUSPEND Flash FORWARD command on the Universal Replicator
for Mainframe pair.
The TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair is then split and the copy operation will
temporarily stop.
2.
Use the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous remote volume to resume your business tasks.
3.
Use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKRESYNC REVERSE command on the TrueCopy
for Mainframe Synchronous pair.
The copy direction of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair is reversed.
4.
In cases where the primary/secondary relationship of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous
pair is not reversed (that is, the copy direction is not reversed), or where the primary/secondary
relationship of the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous pair is reversed (that is, the copy
direction is reversed as illustrated in the lower-right picture in
), use Business
Continuity Manager’s YKRESYNC DELTAJNL command to perform the delta resync operation
on the volume in the TrueCopy for Mainframe Synchronous secondary site. The status of the
data volumes of Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair changes are explained in the following
table.
