Note: If you are running both Linux and NonStop agents and want to set an alert
for Disk entity with First Notification and/or Recurring Notification set to occur after
a selected amount of minutes, create alerts for Disk entity only at the node level. If
you create this particular alert at a higher level, then this alert notification will not
be enacted for Disk. This consideration applies only for the Disk entity.

Based on the thresholds set by the user and the pre-defined thresholds, alerts are
logged to the HP SIM database. The “Log” feature allows the user to view past
alerts and provides the search/filter and paging capabilities to allow easy
navigation through the alert log. The pre-defined thresholds are only set for CPU
and process and bear these names:

CPU_WARNING, CPU_CRITICAL, PROCESS_CRITICAL

and PROCESS_WARNING.

The following table explains the various fields in the above screen:

Selected:

Indicates the nodes that the filter will be applied to.
Depending on the selection in the tree, this field will be
automatically populated. When a tree node is selected,
logs for all the nodes within that sub-tree will be shown.

Display:

Latest: Display the alert log backwards with last alert
entry first.
From/To: Display the alert log from specified From time
to the specified To time. While this is active, the log will
not display any events before the “From” time. To see
