emoving Agents (Nodes)

Removing a node from the monitoring list can be done by deleting the node from
SIM or removing it from the cluster. To remove a node from SIM, simply select the
node by clicking the corresponding checkbox in SIM’s main table and click “Delete”.
To remove a node from a cluster, the user will need to use the HP Cluster
Configuration Management application. After doing this, use Refresh PE… to update
this change to Performance Essentials.
NOTE: The above process does NOT remove the agent software from the
corresponding server nor does it stop the collection on the server. To stop collection
on the servers: on the NonStop obey the stoppe script (obey stoppe), on the Linux

server, kill the collator, collector, PAMAuth and License handler processes.
To remove the agent software from the servers: on the NonStop purge the files in
the installation subvolume, on Linux run rpm –e simagent-0.1.i386.
