Upgrading
To upgrade from one version of software to the latest, remove the old agent
software by following the instructions in
section and then use the
installation instructions to install your latest version of the software. For the PE SIM
Plug-in, follow the instructions in
section and then use the installation
instructions to install your latest version of the software.
Note: For the PE SIM plug-in, in some cases the Jboss Java and Class files are not
getting recreated by the upgraded software causing errors to occur on the
Performance Essentials page. The corrective action would be to delete all the files
from C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\jbosss\server\hpsim\work
\jboss.web\localhost\_\org\apache\jsp\mxportal\performance so that the files can be
repopulated by the latest software.
4.3.8.
Uninstalling
To uninstall the Performance Essentials SIM Plug-in, use the Add or Remove
Programs button from your CMS, scroll down the list of programs currently installed,
select PE SIM Plugin v2.2 and click on the corresponding Remove button. A popup
will come up confirming that you are removing the Performance Essentials software.
Clicking yes, will remove all the Performance Essentials components and will restart
SIM afterwards. SIM must be running in order for Performance Essentials to be
uninstalled.
