SETUP RECEIVE 5 - 4
Easy Receive
When you use this feature, you do not have to press Start or the Fax
Receive Code 5 1 when you answer a fax call and hear calling
beeps. Just hold the handset and wait a few seconds. When you see
Receiving on the LCD or when you hear “chirps” through the
handset of an extension phone connected to another wall jack, just
replace the handset. Your MFC does the rest. Selecting
On allows
the MFC to receive fax calls automatically, even if you lift the handset
of an extension or external phone. Selecting
Semi lets the MFC
receive the call only if you have answered it at the MFC. Selecting
Off means you will have to activate the MFC yourself, by pressing
Start or by pressing 5 1 if you are not at your MFC.

If it is not illuminated in green, press ( Fax ).

Use or to select On , Semi ,
or Off .
Press Set .

Press Stop/Exit .
If you have set the feature to On , but your MFC does not
automatically connect a fax call when you lift an external or
extension phone handset, press the Fax Receive code
5 1 .
At the MFC, lift the handset and then press Start .
If you send faxes from a computer on the same phone line and
the MFC intercepts them, set Easy Receive to
Off .
