4.3 Replacement of Absolute Backup Battery
Alarms described in the list could be generated in relation to the absolute data backup battery
voltage. In case of occurrence, have the battery replaced immediately.

Voltage Drop Alarm
A03, A23 It is an alarm to tell the battery voltage
drop. Time till the battery voltage error
(914, CA2) is approximately 10 hours as
a reference if the power to the controller
is supplied in the normal condition.
Absolute Data Backup
Battery Voltage Error
914, CA2 It is the end of the backup battery life.
Replace to a new one immediately. The
absolute data would not be lost as long
as the controller control power is turned
on and the encoder cable does not get
disconnected. (Note 1)
Note 1 If turning OFF the control power of the robot controller while “Absolute Data
Backup Battery Voltage Error” is generated, the absolute data will be lost and the
stopper interfering absolute reset will be necessary.
In case the absolute reset is lost, “Absolute Data Backup Battery Voltage Error”
will continue to be on even after replacing the batteries. Have a stopper
interfering absolute reset conducted.
