P.T.Z Configuration Control Panel

Click on the icon from Config to enter the PTZ
Configuration
panel as illustrated below in figure 49.
PTZ configuration requires serial port on the computer in
order PTZ controls to operation; the serial port is called an
RS485 port. Once a PTZ protocol camera is plugged into
the computer via serial port, the serial port can then be
configured or selected from the Serial Port options in PTZ
Configuration.

NoTe: If the laptop or desktop do not have a serial port built in, a con-
verter such as RS485 to RS232 and then another adapter from RS232 to
USb can be applied to control the PTZ protocol (converters NoT included).
There are many other alternatives but this is one of the best and cheapest
ways to convert RS485 serial port to USb.
