INTENDED USE
Incorrect use of the Type 8792 and 8793 can be dangerous to
people, nearby equipment and the environment.
The device is designed for the open-loop control and closed-loop
control of media.
▶ In the potentially explosion-risk area the positioner Type
8792/8793 may be used only according to the specification on the
separate Ex type label. For use observe the additional information
enclosed with the device together with safety instructions for the
explosion-risk area.
▶ Devices without a separate Ex type label may not be used in a
potentially explosive area.
▶ The device must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
▶ Pulsating direct voltage (rectified alternating voltage without
smoothing) must not be used as operating voltage.

and conditions of use specified in the contract documents and
operating instructions, as described in chapter

operation.
▶ Use the Type 8792 and 8793 only as intended.
