the audio input, the fiber optic mode (singlemode or
multi mode), and the device type (Tx or Rx).

The receiver monitors the fiber 1 cable. If the PC is connected to the transmitter and fiber cable 2 is not installed, for the information request
(I) and Status commands (S) below, the transmitter reports 1Link0 regardless of the status of the fiber 1 cable.
