3.3.2 Storage of the battery
In case of extended storage, when the delivery includes maintenance free batteries, keep in mind that
they are subject to auto-discharging process
To avoid permanent damages to the battery, you must observe the following instructions:
•
The storage time without charging the battery depends on the temperature of the storage ambient.
• The optimal ambient temperature for the batteries is 68°F (20°C).
For storage temperature higher than 68°F (20°C), the storage time will decrease.
• Each additional 18°F (10°C) over the nominal temperature of 68°F (20°C) will decrease the storage
time, without freshening charge, by half.
In case of a maintenance free battery, the storage time without charging the battery is
approximately:
6 months with storage temperature 68°F (20°C)
3 months with storage temperature 86°F (30°C)
2 months with storage temperature 95°F (35°C)
