Replacing the
Photo-
conductor /
Drum
The DocuPrint 4512’s Photoconductor / Drum will print approximately
30,000 pages of A4 or 8.5 x 11 paper under average operating
conditions (5% image area coverage). The number of prints per
Photoconductor / Drum will decrease if you routinely:
•
Print dense text and graphics.
•
Adjust the Print Density to a dark setting.
•
Exceed five percent area coverage.
Replace the Photoconductor / Drum as soon as you see the following
message at the Control Panel display:
Drum Near End
The Supply indicator light will also glow.

Note
See Appendix A: Ordering Information for ordering a new
Photoconductor / Drum.
Caution
Do not expose the Photoconductor / Drum to direct sunlight or
artificial light for more than 15 minutes. Overexposure will
permanently damage the photosensitive imaging drum.
