Filter Settings

Filters shape the timbre of a sound by altering (filtering) the amplitude of specific frequency ranges. This
can be used to make an instrument’s character warm, dull, bright, or thin depending on the type of filter
and its settings.

Filters can be used creatively by assigning real-time continuous controllers to various aspects of their
envelopes, cutoff frequencies, and resonance thereby allowing for creation of more synthetic textures with
electronic characteristics.

Filter type

0 – None. Th e filter is bypassed.

1 – Lowpass. Filters out high frequencies.

2 – Highpass. Filters out low frequencies.

3 – Bandpass. Filters both high and low frequencies.

4 – Bandreject. Filters out middle frequencies.

Turbo LPF

Adds additional poles of attenuation to the lowpass filter algorithm, creating a more intense analog filter
effect. This option is only available when the Filter type parameter is set to “Lowpass.”

When used with certain resonance settings, Turbo LPF can generate high amplitude resonant frequency
oscillations. Proceed with caution when editing at loud volumes. Th is could be damaging to your speakers.
