Component Description
SCSI Channel 1 and 2
The SCSI Ultra 320 channels used to attach the TLS medium changer and
tape drives.
Fibre Channel 1 and 2
Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver socket. The receptacle is a 4
Gbit Fibre Channel SFP transceiver.
Ethernet
The RJ-45 connector provides support for local and remote diagnostics, moni-
toring and management.
Serial
The RS-232 communications port provides support for remote monitoring and
management.
Reset Switch
Reboots the FCO.
Ready/Fault LED
Lights green to indicate ready, lights yellow to show a faulted condition, and is
off to indicate not ready.
Embedded in the
Ethernet port connector
A lighted green LED shows a valid link; off indicates that no link is present. A
separate blinking yellow LED indicates activity.
FC Activity LED
On (green) when the Fibre Channel is active. Off when there is no Fibre
Channel I/O activity.
FC Link LCD
On (green) when the Fibre Channel link is connected and established. Off
when the Fibre Channel link is disconnected and/or not established.
SCSI Activity LEDs 1 and 2
On (green) when the SCSI bus is active or busy.

Note that the ATTO FCO is a stand-alone device that needs no special library configu-
ration settings. Please refer to the enclosed CD for details about its set up and opera-
tion. The following diagrams represent examples of the preferred cabling when
connecting the FCO to a library.
