Troubleshooting
USB memory is not recognized
Files are not displayed
• It may be that the USB memory has not been formatted
correctly. If the USB memory was formatted by a device other
than the SD-50, use the SD-50 to format it (p. 76).
Can’t back up to USB memory
Check the following points.
• Could the USB memory be write protected?
• Does the USB memory has sufficient free space?
Playlist is not displayed
This might be due to one of the following reasons.
• The playlist might not be displayed if you directly add/delete/
modify the song data in the SD-50 folder without using
Playlist Editor.
• It may be that the USB memory has not been formatted
correctly. If the USB memory was formatted by a device other
than the SD-50, use the SD-50 to format it (p. 76).
Songs are not displayed
This might be due to one of the following reasons.
• Is the song located in the root directory?
• The song might not be displayed if you directly add/delete/
modify the song data in the SD-50 folder without using
Playlist Editor.
• It may be that the USB memory has not been formatted
correctly. If the USB memory was formatted by a device other
than the SD-50, use the SD-50 to format it (p. 76).
Song does not play
This might be due to one of the following reasons.
• Is a “?” symbol shown in the list of songs for the playlist?
• The song’s file type is not one that the SD-50 can play.
• The song data might be damaged.
• The song cannot be played if you directly add/delete/modify
the song data in the SD-50 folder without using Playlist
Editor.
Can’t hear the playback
• Is the playback volume set correctly?
Go to the play screen and adjust the playback volume (p. 66).
