How to Reconfigure a Device Manually
Before You Begin
You can use the OpenBoot asr-enable command to reconfigure any device that
you previously deconfigured with asr-disable. For background information, see
■
“About Manually Configuring Devices” on page 59
What to Do
1. At the system ok prompt, type:
where the device-identifier is one of the following:
■
Any full physical device path as reported by the OpenBoot show-devs command
■
Any valid device alias as reported by the OpenBoot devalias command
■
An identifier for a device or a range of devices given in “Reference for Device
Identifiers” on page 61
2. Do one of the following:
■
If you are reconfiguring a processor, power cycle the system using the front panel
Power button.
■
If you are reconfiguring any other device, type:
ok reset-all
ok asr-enable
device-identifier
ok reset-all
