Station Status
The Station Status window shows wireless clients currently
associated with the access point.
The Station Status page displays basic connection information for
all associated stations. Note that this page is automatically
refreshed every five seconds.
• Station Address: The MAC address of the remote wireless
bridge.
• Authenticated: Shows if the station has been authenticated.
The two basic methods of authentication supported for 802.11
wireless networks are “open system” and “shared key.”
Open-system authentication accepts any client attempting to
connect to the access point without verifying its identity. The
shared-key approach uses Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) to
verify client identity by distributing a shared key to stations
before attempting authentication.
