DESCRIPTION
■
When the command is executed, a prompt to confirm execution of the command
with the specified options is displayed. Enter "y" to execute the command or "n"
to cancel the command.
■
If the Solaris OS of the target domain is running, the poweroff(8) command
processing is equivalent to that of the shutdown(1M) command with the "-i5"
option specified.
■
A domain cannot be powered off while the Solaris OS of the domain is booting.
Execute the poweroff(8) command again after the booting is completed.
■
A domain cannot be powered off by the poweroff(8) command while the
Solaris OS of the domain is running in single-user mode. Execute the
shutdown
(1M) command in the domain.

When the poweroff(8) command is executed, power-off results for each of the
specified domains are displayed in the following format:

The showdomainstatus(8) command can be used to check the power of each
domain on the system is off.

Turns off power to all domains.
Powered off
The power was turned off normally.
Not Powering
off
An error occurred, and the power could not be turned off. An
error message is displayed with "Not Powering off."

*Note*
This command only issues the instruction to power-off.
The result of the instruction can be checked by the "showlogs power".
