5.1.2 Functional Specifications - IEC 60870-5-101 Slave
The 101S gateway acts as an input/output device between the IEC 60870-5-101
Master and other protocols and networks, as well as several proprietary
interfaces.
Protocol specifications include:
User-definable gateway memory usage
Storage of IEC time used in gateway is available in the database
Protocol implementation conforms to the IEC 60870-5-101 specification with
fully configurable parameters
Priority Queues
Invalid Bit Monitoring
Supports Balanced and Unbalanced Mode
Supports CP24 and CP56 time formats for events
Event generation configurable per point or data type

5.1.3 Internal Database
The ProLinx gateway contains an internal database that consists of areas for
application data, status information, and configuration information.
The internal database is shared between all ports on the gateway and is used as
a conduit to pass information from a device on one network to one or more
devices on another network.
