Description of the unit
The Powador Argus is a string monitoring box used to combine and monitor the individual string leads of a photo-
voltaic system. The individual strings of the PV system are fed into the string monitoring box and combined using
string fuses and current sensors. The fuses protect both DC cables and PV modules from excessively high short
circuit currents.
The current sensors are used to precisely evaluate and monitor the individual strings. In addition, the solar connec-
tion leads of the Powador Argus protect the inverters and PV module fields from exposure to overvoltage.
The string monitoring box is available in two versions:
•
Powador Argus 16S for monitoring max. 16 string leads,
•
Powador Argus 24S for monitoring max. 24 string leads
A variant of either version is also available for the French market:
•
Powador Argus 16S DCS FR for monitoring max. 16 string leads with additionally secured negative generator
connections,
•
Powador Argus 24S DCS FR for monitoring max. 24 string leads with additionally secured negative generator
connections.
