Mounting the String Monitoring Box
Installation space
•
Ensure good access to the unit for installation or any service work that may later be required.
•
Maintain the following minimum clearances around the unit:
100 mm clearance between two string monitoring boxes installed side by side,
500 mm clearance between two stacked string monitoring boxes,
500 mm to cabinets, ceilings, etc.
•
To prevent integrated components from overheating, do not place the box where it would be exposed to direct
sunlight.
Wall
•
The unit is designed for vertical wall mounting.
•
Ensure that the wall has adequate load-bearing capacity and use appropriate fixing materials.
•
The wall surface must be as even as possible to prevent the housing from warping or losing its seal when it is screwed
onto the wall.
•
Be sure to install the string monitoring box in a sufficiently elevated place, especially in areas prone to flooding.
•
Installation at eye level makes it easier to read the display on the inside of the box.
CAUTION
Use suitable mounting parts.
›
Use only the supplied mounting parts.
›
Mount the string monitoring box upright on a vertical wall.
NOTICE
The Powador Argus string monitoring box meets the requirements of protection rating IP56 if all
cable fittings are used or suitably closed off. In order to ensure a long service life for your units,
make sure they are installed in a dry location where they are not directly at risk of weathering.
