Connection of the DC positive string leads
The string leads are inserted into the box on the underside of the housing through cable fittings (M40) with sealing
inserts for multiple cables. The cable fittings for the positive DC string leads are located underneath the housing on
the left side.
A sticker containing information on the assignment of the positive DC inputs is located on the inside of the housing
door. As you complete the remaining installation steps, make sure to connect the negative DC leads to the appropri-
ate DC disconnects.
DANGER
Risk of electric shock at live connections.
Check that the DC string leads are voltage-free before inserting them into the unit.
CAUTION
Risk of damage.
Check the polarity before establishing the connection. The string monitoring box may be damaged
if the correct polarity is not observed.
CAUTION
The voltage and the current must be measured before the DC leads are connected.
The maximum voltage and current values must not be exceeded. The string monitoring box could be
damaged beyond repair if the maximum values are exceeded.

NOTICE
The string monitoring box is equipped with screw terminals for connecting the DC positive string
leads. The maximum cross-section for leads to be connected to these screw terminals is 16 mm². The
length of insulation to be stripped off is 18 mm. We recommend fitting the cable ends with wire
sleeves. Tighten the terminals using a torque between 2.0 Nm and 2.5 Nm.
