Connecting the DC positive string leads
1. Unscrew the cable fittings until you can insert the ends of the cables through the multi-cable sealing inserts
of the fittings.
2. Connect the cable ends, in accordance with the labelling, to the PCB terminals (Figures 7.4 and 7.5).
Ensure polarity is correct when connecting the leads.
CAUTION
Risk of damage.
Check that the leads are properly connected.
Check the DC positive string leads
1. Double-check that all connected leads are securely connected.
2. Tighten the cable seals of the cable fittings.
3. Use blind plugs to close any unused openings of the cable fittings.
DC fuses
The individual strings are each protected by a PV fuse.
Recommended fuse type:
PV fuse 10 x 38 mm, 1000 V/DC
Approximate calculation of the required fuse rating: 1.6 * I
K
(max. short-circuit current per string).
Always round up calculated fuse ratings to the next available fuse rating.
DANGER
Before replacing the fuses, disconnect the voltage to the string monitoring box and inverter
completely.
WARNING
Damage posed by the use of unsuitable fuses
Defective fuses must always be replaced with fuses of the same type. Failure to observe this may
cause arcing, which poses a risk of injury or damage to the unit.
