Connecting the negative DC string leads
The cable fittings for the negative DC string leads are located underneath the housing on the right side.
Note the different procedures for connecting the negative DC of the Powador Argus 16S DCS/24S DCS and Powador
Argus 16S DCS FR/24S DCS FR string monitoring boxes.
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock
Severe injury or death will result if the live connections are touched. When there is irradiance,
DC voltage is present on the exposed ends of the DC leads.
›
Do not touch the exposed ends of the leads.
›
Avoid short circuits.
CAUTION
Risk of damage.
Check the polarity before establishing the connection. The string monitoring box may be damaged
if the correct polarity is not observed.
CAUTION
The voltage and the current must be measured before the DC leads are connected.
The maximum voltage and current values must not be exceeded. The string monitoring box could be
damaged beyond repair if the maximum values are exceeded.
