Main display

The Powador Argus controller circuit board monitors and displays the current of individual strings, and transmits

these values to a data logger over the RS485 bus.
When the controller circuit board is supplied with power, the LCD displays either “16 Strings” or “24 Strings”, depend-

ing on the hardware configuration. After 3 seconds, the display switches to the main menu. This display shows the

values for the PV strings and the analogue connections. These values are displayed every 3 seconds in a loop.
Press the LEFT button to switch to the next screen immediately. The system information and any recorded events

are then displayed. If you do not press any other button, the current screen will be displayed for 5 seconds. Then

the 3 second loop with the values of the PV strings and the analogue connections will resume.

8.2.1 Display: “STRING 1 TO 24”

In this display, up to eight strings are displayed together with the corresponding current. The current communica-

tion status between the Powador Argus and either a Powador-proLOG or another XP series inverter is displayed at

the top right. In rows 2 to 4, individual current values are displayed from left to right. These values are shown in

amperes to two decimal places. If there is a communication error in one of the current sensors, the value “xxx.xxA”

is displayed. Correct functioning is shown by the letter “P”. If no communication is taking place, “S” is displayed.

8.2.2 Display: “ANALOG 1 TO 4”

This display shows the values of the analogue connections. The latest communication status between the Powador

Argus and either a Powador-proLOG or an inverter of the XP series is displayed at the right. The individual analogue

values are displayed in the second row. These values have two decimal places and are displayed without a unit.

8.2.3 Display: “SYSTEM INFO”

The following values are displayed:

Current address of the Powador Argus

Software version of the DSP firmware

Software version of the PIC software
