Disassembling the protective covers
1. Disconnect the DC subdistribution from voltage sources (see Section 8.2, page 47)
2. To disassemble the bottom protective cover:
• Release the five knurled nuts on the bottom protective cover and retain them for later use.
• Pull bottom protective cover towards you until it comes off the spacer bolts.
3. To disassemble the top protective cover:
• Release the five knurled nuts on the top protective cover and retain them for later use.
• Pull top protective cover towards you until it comes off the spacer bolts and lift off.
Mounting the protective covers
1. To mount the top protective cover:
• Slide the top protective cover from above underneath the DC load-break switch and
position on the spacer bolts.
• Fasten the five knurled nuts to the spacer bolts.
2. To mount the bottom protective cover:
• Position the bottom protective cover on the spacer bolts.
• Fasten the five knurled nuts to the spacer bolts.
