10.3.2 Checking the Protective Covers
Danger to life from electric shock due to live voltage
High voltages are present in the live components of the DC subdistribution. Touching live
components results in death or serious injury due to electric shock.
• Disconnect the inverter from all voltage sources on the DC side (see the inverter manual).
• Disconnect the DC subdistribution from voltage sources (see Section 8.2, page 47)
• Disconnect all DC sub-distributions that are connected in parallel in the DC connection area
(see the manual of the respective DC sub-distribution).
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the DC subdistribution from voltage sources (see Section 8.2, page 47)
2. Check whether the covers are damaged. Position of the covers Section 4.3, page 15.
Replace the covers if they are damaged. If the covers are loose, fasten the screws tightly.
3. Check whether the covers are firmly attached.
If not, fasten the screws of the covers tightly.
10.3.3 Performing the Visual Inspection

• Disconnect all DC sub-distributions that are connected in parallel in the DC connection area
(see the manual of the respective DC sub-distribution).
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the DC subdistribution from voltage sources (see Section 8.2, page 47)
2. On the DC subdistribution and any used string cable inline fuse connectors, check whether
there are any foreign materials or objects that are flammable or that could otherwise
endanger operational safety.
Remove any such materials or objects.
3. Check whether there are any objects in the installation compartment of the DC subdistribution.
Remove any such objects from the installation compartment.
