2.2 Moving the Machine Axes
Note
To traverse with the machine axis direction
buttons:
Select the Manual Operation mode
Press the machine axis direction button and hold it as
long as you wish the axis to move, or
Move the axis continuously: Press and hold the
machine axis direction button, then press the
machine START button.
To stop the axis, press the machine STOP button.
You can move several axes at a time with these two methods. You can
change the feed rate at which the axes are traversed with the
F soft key (see “Spindle Speed S, Feed Rate F and Miscellaneous
Functions M” on page 64).
Traversing with the machine axis direction buttons can
vary depending on the machine tool. The machine tool
manual provides further information.
