Using Network Time Protocol
Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a protocol that synchronizes the real-time
clock in a computer to the Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) via radio,
satellite, or modem.
To use NTP to set the time for NewsShare NAS:
1. In the Date/Time window, check the
Enable NTP Service
checkbox.
The Date/Time window updates:
2. In the NTP Server field, enter the
IP address or the host name
of the NTP
service to which you subscribe.
The date and time fields are set at the current date and time based on the NTP
time server and cannot be modified.
3. Click
Save
.
