Setting the Date and Time
You should set the date and time that NewsShare NAS uses, in order to have all
file times synchronized. After you have set the date and time, NewsShare NAS
maintains the correct date and time even when special events, such as Daylight
Savings and Leap Year, occur.
To set the date and time for your newsroom:
1. Open the NewsShare NAS application in a browser window.
The default address is: http://192.168.50.20:9890.
2. Select
System | System Administration | Date/Time
.
3. If your newsroom uses Network Time Protocol (NTP) to synchronize time,
see “Using Network Time Protocol” on page 57.
4. Select your time zone from the drop-down list.
NOTE: To automatically update scheduled time changes such as
daylight savings time, use a city time zone rather than a regional time
zone.
5. Specify the current
year

, and

6. Specify the current time in
hours

minutes
, and
seconds
.
7. Click
Save
.
