Chapter 4 Setting Up Workstations on an Open SAN System

Installing ContentShare Explorer
You need to install ContentShare Explorer (version 2.4.0) on each NewsShare
workstation you are using on the Open SAN.
To install ContentShare Explorer:
1. Insert the ContentShare Profile End-User CD.
The Setup program starts automatically. If it does not, browse to the CD and
double-click on
\disk1\setup .
2. Install the software following these instructions:
On this screen... Do this...
Welcome Click Next .
Read Release Notes Click Next .
Choose Destination Location Leave set at the default location and click Next .
Select Installation Type Click Client PC .
Edit Agent Domain Name Enter an Agent Domain Name (use the host name for
one of the Profile storage systems that you configured
during the Profile Setup), then click
Next .
NOTE: The Profile system you specify must be online
and the Port Server running in order to run
ContentShare on this client PC.
Installation Complete Click Finish to close the installation program. The
computer prompts you to reboot so the new settings
take effect.
