Diagnostics – Air Cooled
No ice

No power to unit
Power disconnected Check breaker or fuse.
Reset or replace, restart and check
No power to controller
Transformer open
Replace transformer

Check purge valve, curtain, sump, pump

Air filters clogged
Clean air filters
Dirty condenser

Check ice thickness sensor probe
Water distributor dirty
Remove and clean water distributor
Inlet water valve leaks through during freeze

Check harvest system
High pressure cut out opened
Check fan motor pressure control, check

outlet during freeze
Thermostatic expansion valve bulb loose
Check bulb
Thermostatic expansion valve producing very
low or very high superheat
Check evaporator superheat,
change TXV if incorrect
Compressor inefficient
Check compressor amp draw,
if low and all else is correct,
change compressor
