Connecting the Vapor Return Line to the Vapor Shear Valve
Do not create any liquid traps when connecting the vapor return line to the vapor line Shear
Valve (see
). A liquid trap is a low spot in the vapor return line that can
accumulate fuel and cause blockage, which could cause a system to fail vapor recovery
certification tests or create operation issues with vapor balance nozzles.
Notes: 1) The contractor must provide and install the pipe union for connecting to the
1-inch NPT coupling in the unit.
2) Follow the vapor Shear Valve’s manufacturer information regarding mounting of the
Shear Valve to the unit.
