Chapter 6 BIOS New Feature
SuperBoot
SuperBoot technology enormously improves the long Boot process time of
computers, reducing the wait time every user has to suffer when starting their
computer. BIOS without SuperBoot has to perform many routines every time the
system starts, such as checking system core and initializing system peripherals.
Now with the SuperBoot, PCs can boot-up without any redundant waiting for the
displaying of starting OS. SuperBoot is easy to use. Choose the right option in
the CMOS SETUP. And the system can boot up quickly and easily. SuperBoot
saves the information from the PC
’s first normally boot-up, and it restores all the
parameters for the system and thus lets the PC boot freely and rapidly on sub-
sequent boot-ups.
Notes:
1. If the previous boot was not completed then BIOS will perform normal POST
even if the SuperBoot was enabled.
2. No matter SuperBoot is enabled or not, the BIOS will perform normal POST
when CMOS fails.
