Folding area
Remove jams from the folding area as follows:
1. Open the top cover A by pulling up the handle.
2. Remove the documents from the folding area.
3. Close the top cover A.
4. Press to remove the error and restart the job.
Feeding area
Remove jams from the feeding area as follows:
1. Open the top cover A by pulling up the handle.
2. Remove the documents from the feeding area.
3. Close the top cover A.
4. Press to remove the error and restart the job.
Collating area
Remove jams from the collating area as follows:
1. Move the collator plate B down.
2. Remove the documents from the collator area.
3. Move the collator plate B up in position.
4. Press to remove the error and restart the job.
9.3 Operator Troubleshooting
1. First, write down the error.
2. Try to solve the problem by consulting the table which follows.
3. Switch the inserter OFF and ON again, to verify system operation.
4. If the error still occurs, contact your service organization.
Note
When contacting the service organization, you will also be asked for the last error
message and the software version of the installed software. To determine the software
version, refer to “System Info” on page 32.
