Picture Hints
The following guidelines can be useful when taking photos:
✦ Photograph your items yourself, do not take photos from bro-
chures. This gives the buyer the security of having seen the ap-
praised item.
✦ Show details. Positive details are shown well in photographs,
but imperfections like scratches should also be shown. This pre-
vents misunderstandings and frustration.
✦ Make sure you have good light conditions and a neutral back-
ground.
✦ Your auction item is the star, not its box or some advertisement
poster. Stars like spotlight. You should put your object on a
single-tone tablecloth to present it.
