Configuration | ECM (Entry Channel Mode)
1. The Configuration | ECM page is operational only when the optional
VIPERSAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (VMS) is installed and enabled.
2. ECM uses Demod 1 as the ALOHA channel.

Use this page to configure ECM (Entry Channel Mode). ECM provides a method for remotes
requiring dSCPC access channels to either enter the network initially or re‐enter the network
after a power or service outage.

The acceptable/valid operating ranges for items in this section are provided in parentheses.
• Enable – This feature activates Demod‐1 (Rx TRAFFIC 1) on this unit to function as the ECM
Controller for a group of CDM‐840 Remote Routers. Use the drop‐down menu to select
operation as Enable or Disable, and then click [Submit] to save.
