This manual is written for experienced Microsoft® C/C++
programmers who write applications for the printer. These
programmers should also be familiar with Monarch’s MPCLII
printer language.
The following table describes the conventions used in this
manual.
Convention Description
[ ] Brackets indicate optional items.
… Ellipses indicate the preceding item is repeated one
or more times .
Italics An item appearing in italics is a variable, a function
parameter, or a value of a variable.
Bold An item appearing in bold is being emphasized.
+ A plus sign placed between two keys indicates to
press the keys at the same time.
