This chapter describes how to load a ribbon roll.
There are different ribbon requirements for the three types of
supplies:
Thermal Direct
Supplies do not use a ribbon for printing.
Thermal Transfer
Supplies require a ribbon for printing.
High Energy
Supplies require a ribbon able to withstand high
temperatures.
If you are using thermal direct supplies, do not load a ribbon. If
you are using high energy supply, be sure to use a high energy
ribbon. See "Using a High Energy Ribbon" for more information.
If you want to use a high energy ribbon, select high energy for the
ribbon every time the printer is turned on.
