9.5 Record Mode
9.5.1 Selecting the Record Mode
As the communication protocol on servo amplifiers is different to that of the control systems and
the signal selection and setting options are also different, PScope operates in two different
record modes:

Controller mode: Recording signals on a controller
y
Amplifier mode: Recording signals on a servo amplifier
The record mode is selected/switched via the menu item "Scope" -> "Control system / Amplifier
Oscilloscope" or by pressing in the toolbar.
When a record operation is started, the record mode set in PScope must match the mode
set on the connected device, otherwise it will not be possible to establish communication
between the device and PScope.
If the record mode on PScope does not match the record mode set on the connected device, a
message such as the one shown below will be displayed in the user interface:
