7.2 Menus
7.2.1 Menu "File"
Connect/Disconnect: Starts a connection or ends an existing connection.
Download Text: Transmits a text file from the PC to a controller. For transmitting
S-Record data the following message appears:
Upload Text: Uploads data from a controller to the PC and saves it into a text
file. The following dialogue box appears:
You can choose the upload type:
0: All ( Upload all )
1: Program data ( Upload no variables )
2: Variables ( Upload only variables )
3: Flash contents ( Upload contents of flash )
4: Flash contents ( Upload contents of flash as Motorola
S-Record Format)
The selected data is then downloaded from the hardware to the
stated text file.
Save Text: Saves the current text into a text file.
Open Log File: Opens a text file to record communication data.
Print: Prints the current text of the terminal window.
Print Preview: Displays full pages of the current document before printing.
Print Setup: Sets up the print settings of the current document.
Send: Sends the current document via email.
Exit: Exits PTerm.
