5.3.3 Changing an electronic module during operation
Changing an electronic module during operation 5- ][Montage BA Hot Swapping ST-E/A-Modul
The electronic module can be hot swapped. The configuration data is re-
tained when a module is swapped.
Effects:
 System environment A:
– An ST communication error may occur.
 System environment B:
– While the module is disconnected, the substitute values for the
module's signals/values are used (Valid Bits = FALSE).
– Once the module is reconnected, it is reactivated automatically.
