Upgrading Firmware (Local File)

You can use this procedure to upgrade the firmware (not Bootloader) using Windows XP.

Note: You can use PortVision DX to upload firmware. You must use PortVision DX or the CLI to upload

Bootloader.

Open the web user interface for the ES7506, open the Firmware Upgrade page under Basic Settings.

Select Local in the Firmware Upgrade drop list.

Click the folder icon, browse to the firmware location,
highlight the .bin file, and click Open.

Click the Upgrade button.

Click Yes to the Confirm Dialog message.

Click Ok to the Warning Message.

Click Ok to close the Success Message.

Note: After the firmware has successfully uploaded, you should close and re-open the browser to clear the Java

Virtual Machine cache.
