EON (Enhanced Other Network information)
This feature can be used to update the information stored in a
tuner about program services other than the one received. Traf­
fic-program and announcement identifications as well as Pro-
gram-type can be transmitted for each other service.
If you specify traffic information (TA) or news program (PTY)
beforehand, the frequency will change automatically when the
specified broadcast begins. This function cannot be used in ar­
eas where EON information is not transmitted or when broad­
cast stations do not transmit PTY data.
Each press of the EON button causes switching in the following
sequence.
►TA.
NEWS
. If traffic information (TA) has been speci­
fied, the frequency will switch when a traf­
fic information broadcast begins. When
the broadcast ends, reception will return
to the previous frequency.
, If the program type has been specified,
the frequency will switch when a News
program is broadcasted.
— OFF.................... Normal condition. Interruption does not
occur. Switch to this mode when record­
ing.
NOTES:
• Once you start interrupt waiting, it is temporarily canceled if
you switch to AM reception, but starts once more when you
return to FM reception, even if you call up a different station.
To cancel interrupt waiting, press the EON button, or the
POWER button.
• When you receive the station you were waiting for an inter­
rupt from (when the EON indicator flashes on the display)
the MEMORY button, DIRECT button, DIRECT ACCESS tuning
button, and CHARACTER/SEARCH button cannot be used.

Cette fonction peut être employée pour la mise à jour des infor­
mations que contient le récepteur et qui concernent les services
offerts par une station autre que celle que vous écoutez. En effet,
une autre station peut fort bien diffuser des bulletins
d'informations routières et des codes de type d'émission.
Si, tout d'abord, vous réglez le récepteur pour la réception des
informations routières (TA) ou des informations générales, la
fréquence du récepteur sera automatiquement modifiée au mo­
ment où une émission de ce type est diffusée de telle sorte que
vous puissiez écouter cette émission. Bien entendu, cette fonction
ne peut pas être utilisée si les stations d'une région ne diffusent
pas d'informations EON. Par ailleurs, être en attente d'un bulle­
tin d'informations n'est pas possible pour les stations qui ne
transmettent pas de code PTY.
Chaque pression sur la touche EON, provoque une modification
du mode de fonctionnement comme suit.
TA......................... Si vous avez mis en service la fonction
TA (bulletin d'informations routières),
la fréquence d'accord du récepteur est
modifiée dès la réception d'une
émission de cette sorte diffusée par
une autre station.
News..................... Si vous avez choisi la catégorie NEWS
pour la fonction PTY, la fréquence
d'accord du récepteur est modifiée
dès la réception d'une émission de
cette sorte diffusée par une autre station.
OFF........................Situation normale. Aucune interrup­
tion de la réception de l'émission sur
laquelle le récepteur est accordé.
Utilisez ce mode si vous désirez
enregistrer l'émission.
REMARQUES:
• Si, le récepteur étant en attente de la diffusion d'un bulletin,
vous choisissez la gamme AM, cette attente est abandonnée;
toutefois, Tattente reprend dès que vous sélectionnez à
nouveau la gamme FM, même si vous accordez le récepteur
sur la fréquence d'une autre station. Pour abandonner
définitivement Tattente de la diffusion d'un bulletin, appuyez
sur la touche EON ou sur la touche POWER.
• Pendant la réception de l'émission diffusée par la station
provoquant l'interruption (le témoin EON clignote), les
touches MEMORY, DIRECT, DIRECT ACCESS et CHARACTER/
SEARCH sont sans effet.
