The device is equipped with a serial
interface ( RS-232 ) which can be
used to control the device, for fur-
ther processing of measurement
data on PC, or the output of data on
a corresponding printer. The device
has a 9-pole SUB-D socket for data
transmission with the following pin
arrangement:
Measurement device PC
3 TxD 3 RxD
2 RxD 2 TxD
7 RTS 5 CTS
8 CTS 4 RTS
5 GND 7 GND
The serial asynchronous transmissi-
on is defined in the measurement
device and is implemented on the
basis of the following specifications:
9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity,
1 stopbit.
