Configure SATA as
This function controls the SATA controller device's operating mode and is only available if the
ATA/IDE Configuration is set to Enhanced.
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings when ATA/IDE Configuration is set to Enhanced: IDE
Primary IDE Master
This function provides access to the Primary IDE Master sub-screen. To access the Primary
IDE Master screen, select this function and press

Primary IDE Slave
This function provides access to the Primary IDE Slave sub-screen. To access the Primary IDE
Slave screen, select this function and press

This function provides access to the Secondary IDE Master sub-screen. To access the Sec-

DESCRIPTION
IDE
Use this setting to specify that the SATA controller is to operate as a legacy IDE controller.
In this case, old IDE drivers may be used.
AHCI
Use this setting to specify that the SATA controller is to operate as an AHCI controller.
In this case, AHCI drivers must be used.
