CPU CONFIGURATION SCREEN
The following screens provide basic information concerning the CPU and functions for speci-
fying CPU configuration settings.
Hardware Prefetcher (AM4011 and AM5010)
This function allows the processor’s hardware prefetcher to prefetch streams of data and in-
struction from the memory into the L2 cache.
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Enabled
Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch (AM4011 and AM5010)
This function allows the processor to fetch the currently requested cache line as well as the ad-
jacent cache line.
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings: Enabled
SETTING DESCRIPTION
Disabled Use this setting to disable hardware prefetching.
Enabled Use this setting to enable hardware prefetching.
SETTING DESCRIPTION
Disabled Use this setting to disable adjacent cache line prefetching.
If Disabled is selected, the processor fetches only the currently selected cache line.
Enabled Use this setting to enable adjacent cache line prefetching.
If Enabled is selected, the processor automatically fetches the currently requested line as
well as the adjacent cache line.
