Discard Changes
In the course of making configuration changes, it may be necessary to revert back to the pre-
viously stored settings and start over again without leaving the BIOS setup program. This func-
tion is used to reset the BIOS configuration to the last stored setup configuration so that new
changes may be made.
To accomplish this select this function and press . A popup display appears requesting
confirmation of the discarding of changes. To confirm, select [Ok] and then press . To
return to the BIOS setup program without discarding the changes made, select [Cancel] and
then press .
Load Optimal Defaults
This function is used to reconfigure the BIOS settings to a predefined set of Optimal default
settings. The Optimal default settings are designed for maximum system performance, but may
not work well for all computer applications. In particular, do not use the Optimal default settings
if configuration problems are being experienced with the system.
To load the Optimal default settings select this function and press . A popup display ap-
pears requesting confirmation of the loading. To confirm, select [Ok] and then press .
To return to the BIOS setup program without loading, select [Cancel] and then press .
Load Fail-Safe Defaults
This function is used to reconfigure the BIOS settings to a predefined set of Fail-Safe default
settings. The Fail-Safe default settings are designed for maximum system stability, but not
maximum performance. Select the Fail-Safe default settings if configuration problems are be-
ing experienced with the system.
To load the Fail-Safe default settings select this function and press . A popup display
appears requesting confirmation of the loading. To confirm, select [Ok] and then press .
To return to the BIOS setup program without loading, select [Cancel] and then press .
