Manual Focus
Use manual focus when you shoot subjects not suitable for autofocus.

Press FOCUS button to select manual focus.
• Focus zone disappears from viewfinder.
Rotate zooming lever to telephoto end.
Watch through viewfinder and rotate focusing ring to focus
on subject.
Use zooming lever to frame subject properly.
• Camera automatically returns to autofocus when camera is turned off or
placed in playback mode.
• Press FOCUS button to stop manual focus and return to autofocus.
Focus Lock
When the FOCUS button is pressed twice during autofocus, the subject is
focused and locked, even if the subject moves to the right or left of centre.
To focus on another subject, adjust with the focusing ring or press the
FOCUS button again and adjust with autofocus.
