Camera Recording

Attach power source.

• When using a battery pack, make sure it is fully charged (see p.ll).

Press OPERATE button.

• OPERATE/CAUTION indicator lights up.

EJECT

Press EJECT button.

• Video cassette compartment opens.

Load video cassette and close video cassette

compartment.

• Insert with window facing out.
• Camera goes into record pause mode.
• Camera goes into stop mode if the erasure prevention switch on the video

cassette is ON (see p.23).

Press TAPE SPEED button to select tape speed.

• For best picture quality, select SP.
• For double recording time, select LP.

Turn grip for easy handling.

• See p.l8 for adjusting grip.

Press START/STOP button.

• Recording starts.
• Tally lamp flashes rapidly and “REC” appears in viewfinder.
• See Advanced Functions section for information on making your

recordings more effective (pp.36—57).

Press START/STOP button again to temporarily pause

recording.

• Press START/STOP button once again to resume recording.
• See “Record Review” (p.25) to check your recording.
