Troubleshooting - Printer Does Not Start or Stops in Mid-job

Is the correct printer port selected?
If you are using the Parallel Interface to connect your printer, set your
printer port to LPT1.
If you are using USB Interface to connect your printer, set your printer port
to USBPRN.
Follow the procedure below.

Open the Printer Properties dialogue box directly from the Start menu.

Click the Details tab and select LPT1 or USBPRN in the Print to the follow-
ing port box (LPT1: Canon BJ LPT Printer Port).

directly from the Start menu, refer to the Driver and Utility Guide for Win-
dows Users.

Is the printer port set to ECP?
You may not be able to print correctly if the printer port is set for ECP. Can-
cel the ECP mode, and print again.
If the problem is not solved by cancelling the ECP mode, contact your com-
puter manufacturer.
